Position Summary

Production Managers will be responsible for the production department activities, including reviewing sales quotes to manage and organize the audio-visual equipment for events, booking labour, and keeping onsite equipment inventory organized and detailed. They will create event folders for each event, collect and/or create event information including technical floor plans and documentation, and assist and advise the sales/account manager with technical planning for larger events. In addition, they will oversee and supervise Lead AV Technicians and assist with the training of in-house AV systems. They will be required to assist with the setup, operation, and dismantle of events as required and assist in the testing of equipment after setups and ensuring that client’s needs are met. 

Job Duties

  • Review all quotes with the sales/account managers to confirm audio-visual details, venue, and event specific requests
  • Connect with clients and planners to finalize the details of their audio-visual requirements for their event and event documentation
  • Create and update internal equipment documentation for events
  • Create and organize event folders, technical floor plans, and documentation for crew
  • Collect, organize, and distribute event agendas, run of shows, and content from clients
  • Plan and organize logistics for off-site equipment including managing loading dock bookings
  • Book and manage labour for all events
  • Maintain a strong system of organization and maintenance of in-house equipment
  • Track and manage all broken equipment and ensure replacements are provided, as needed 
  • Provide support and training to Production Technicians, AV Specialists, and contractors
  • Responsible for front of the line customer service and interaction with clients, venue partners and other vendors as needed
  • Supervise Lead AV Technicians
  • Assist with the setup, operation, and dismantle of audio-visual equipment as required

Requirements

Position Summary

Position Summary
Labour Coordinators are responsible for scheduling labour for events, managing contractor information, reviewing and approving timesheets and invoices, and assisting with recruiting and onboarding of contractors. They will oversee and provide organization-wide support for labour services, coordinate skills development and health & safety training, and assist with the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures.

Job Duties

Labour Scheduling

  • Evaluate and schedule labour for events using Lasso Crew Management Software
  • Ensure the labour positions and timings are accurate, review with account managers and production managers
  • Be fluent in all functions of Lasso Crew Management Software in order to provide organization-wide support
  • Designate crew leads and communicate project scope, execution plan, and crew responsibilities

  • Ensure that audio-visual equipment is functioning and in good working order
  • Troubleshoot equipment errors and software issues as required
  • Provide accurate and efficient operation of audio-visual equipment
  • Read and review equipment manifests and event related documents to complete all necessary tasks
  • Load and unload audio-visual equipment into event spaces
  • Complete inspection forms and daily reports as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma is required. Post-secondary education in event production, technical production, music production, or equivalent training is preferred.
  • 1+ years of audio-visual experience
  • Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live event environment
  • Proficiency with the use of computer hardware, software, and programs, including the Internet, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
  • Ability to communicate orally and written at a limited working proficiency level or greater in the English language
  • Ability to adapt to new technology
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Experience working in a hotel and/or convention centre environment is an asset
  • Working at heights and MEWP certification are an asset
  • Work experience using Allen & Heath QU or SQ series digital audio consoles is an asset
  • Work experience using Roland XS-1 or V-800 switchers is an asset
  • Work experience using Chamsys QuickQ20, Martin M2GO, and GrandMA lighting consoles is an asset
  • Work experience with LED walls, conference systems, and rigging is an asset
  • Work experience with Crestron and QSYS systems is an asset
  • Knowledge of current workplace health & safety regulations, fire & building codes, and AODA regulations in relation to the live entertainment industry is an asset

Position Summary
Warehouse Technicians will be responsible for preparing and organizing audio-visual equipment for events and packing them to ship, loading/unloading trucks, and assisting with equipment inventory and maintenance. 

Job Duties

  • Scan and pack audio-visual equipment to be delivered for events
  • Scan and return audio-visual equipment to its place in the warehouse
  • Proper checks of equipment and ensure kits are complete
  • Ensure equipment is clean and in good working order
  • Tag and mark out equipment that needs attention
  • Load/unload trucks as required
  • Assist with warehouse inventory
  • Assist with equipment maintenance
  • Adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment
